About Ethical Sport Dogs

Ethical Sport Dogs was created and is managed by Caroline Shedd. She is a certified professional dog trainer and certified behaviorist. Caroline understands that all dogs are different. She trains to help achieve and exceed your goals to create a dog that is healthy in body, mind and spirit.

Although Caroline titled her first dog at the age of 10 in competitive obedience she didn't become certified until November of 2011. Caroline believes in creating the ideal pet or working dog for you and your family. She is extremely talented in listening to your goals and helps each team to build on and accomplish them.

Caroline began dog training and professionally handling dogs in 2001. She has handled dogs in large competitive trials for confirmation, obedience, dock diving and agility. She has also worked dogs for herding, protection and field trials. Caroline also specializes in the socialization of puppies. In those critical months it is most important to give your puppy every advantage for its future. Her training passions lie in competition training most specifically in dog agility and obedience. She strives to create the perfect home balance and perfect companion for your active home.

Methods

Ethical Sport Dogs is non-method based. This means that Caroline has the education to help you pursue your goals regardless of training style. Want to approach training from a only positive reinforcement stand point? No problem! Are you interested in learning how to use remote collars, prongs, slip lines or other corrective tools? Caroline is here to help educate you on the proper use of these tools.

At the end of the day, you are only going to have success if you stay consistent with whatever methods you're the most comfortable with.
